Blood Draw (Phlebotomy) Options

If one of your tests requires phlebotomy, please review the coordinating section below for details.

Comprehensive BioScreen & Custom Serum Panels

These tests are performed through LabCorp.

You may have your blood drawn at any LabCorp patient service center or through a mobile phlebotomist who has a LabCorp account.

How to Schedule with LabCorp

• Locate a LabCorp draw center near you.
• Schedule an appointment online (recommended) or walk in. Draw should be performed prior to 9am due to fasting requirements.
• When making an appointment, give the following answers when prompted:
  • Service: Labwork
  • Will you be fasting: Yes
  • Financial details: I have already paid or someone else is responsible

What to Bring

Please bring the following items to your appointment:

• Your LabCorp test requisition form (optional. You have a digital copy in the documents section of your patient portal and this will suffice if any issues arise.)
• Photo ID
• There is NO kit for this test. LabCorp provides the materials.

Cyrex Arrays

You have three options for completing your Cyrex blood draw.

Option 1: Cyrex Contracted Draw Centers

Cyrex has a network of contracted blood draw centers. 

Phlebotomy Fee: Included 

To schedule:

• Visit the Cyrex scheduling page
• Enter your Requisition ID and Confirmation Code (found on your requisition form)
• Choose a draw center and date
• Generate and print your Blood Draw Authorization form.

Note: You will be required to choose a date for your draw and must present on the date you chose. If you need to reschedule, you must contact Cyrex at (877) 772-9739.

Option 2: Cyrex In-Home Phlebotomy

Cyrex can send a phlebotomist to your home or office.

Phlebotomy Fee: $44.50. Not included.

To schedule:

• Visit the Cyrex scheduling page
• Enter your Requisition ID and Confirmation Code (found on your requisition form)
• Select your preferred date (this is subject to phlebotomist availability)
• When prompted to choose a draw center select "Request a Mobile Service Blood Draw" (blue box)
• Make your payment.
• A Cyrex representative will be in touch to facilitate your appointment.

Option 3: Any Specialty / Kit Draw Location

You may also go to any lab or mobile phlebotomist that performs “specialty kit draws.”

• Cyrex test kit including shipping materials
• Test requisition form
• Blood draw authorization form (generated during scheduling. Only needed for Option 1.)
• Photo ID

Vibrant America Panels

Vibrant America panels can be drawn at any lab that does "specialty kits"

Phlebotomy Fee: Varies. Not included.

• Choose whether you want to go to a lab or use a mobile phlebotomist.
• Enter your zip code to find one close to you.

You may also go to any lab or mobile phlebotomist that performs “specialty kit draws.”

Knoxville, TN Area Options

The following options are available for patients in the Knoxville area.

These locations are provided for convenience. We are not affiliated with these laboratories, and patients should confirm pricing, hours, and services before scheduling.

American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL)

AEL can perform specialty kit draws, including:

• Vibrant America
• Cyrex
• They CAN NOT perform LabCorp draws.

Phlebotomy Fee: $15 per kit

Appointment: No appointment required

Timing: Arrive before 11:30 AM Monday–Thursday

Covenant Health Outpatient Labs

Covenant Health hospital labs can also perform specialty kit draws including:

• Vibrant America
• Cyrex
• They CAN NOT perform LabCorp draws.

Phlebotomy Fee: $15 per kit

Important note: These labs will process your sample but do NOT ship it. You must wait for the sample to finish processing (usually about 1 hour) then take the prepared shipment directly to FedEx for same-day shipping.

Tennessee Mobile Laboratory (Mobile Phlebotomy)

For maximum convenience, especially when needing multiple blood draws, we frequently recommend Deana with Tennessee Mobile Laboratory. 

This service can perform all blood draws, including:

• LabCorp tests
• Cyrex
• Vibrant America
• Multiple kits at once

Major advantage: Only one blood draw even if multiple labs are ordered.

Phlebotomy Fee: Varies based on distance and number of kits, but typically starts around $125.
